Best Time to Visit Año Nuevo State Park
Peak Season (Dec-Mar)
The breeding season from December 15 through March 31 offers the most dramatic wildlife viewing. Male elephant seals battle for dominance while females give birth to pups on the beaches. During this period, you must join a guided walk to enter the preserve. Reservations are essential as tours fill quickly.
Shoulder Season (Apr-Nov)
