Borobudur Temple is located near Yogyakarta in Central Java. It is built in a multi-level tiered pyramid form with over 500 Buddha statues adorning it. A climb to the top is worth the view of the many Buddha statues plus the surrounding countryside and mountains. If you are near this area of Java and are interested in the past Buddhist influence on Indonesia, Borobudur makes for a great side excursion to climb this unique temple structure.
