Hog's Haus - Not the Best Acoustics
(Updated: October 16, 2021)
Rating

3.5
Hog's Haus is located in a strip mall near the intersection of Highway 94 and O'Fallon Road in Weldon Spring. It is a sports bar but they also had a sign indicating that there would be a band playing on Saturday evening. Happily, the bar is non-smoking.

The interior of Hog's Haus is fairly bright with light colored walls. Overall, the decor looks neat. There were 4 decent sized flat screen TVs spread around the walls plus 3 smaller screens over the bar. These were muted during our visit.

We found the noise level just from conversation to be very loud due to the acoustics of the room which made it hard to hold a conversation without speaking very loudly. This creates a vicious circle of loud chatter which even drowned out the background music. I assumed this was mostly due to the tile flooring.

Our visit to Hog's Haus was early in the evening on a Friday night. There were roughly 30 patrons at the time and most of them appeared to be 40+ years old with a few younger clients.

The restrooms at Hog's Haus were clean and service was good. But, for me, the acoustics were a super negative.
