Very Comfortable Bar, Good Acoustics

Timber Creek Grill is located in a small mall on Technology Drive (the north service road) at I-64 and K. The design of the bar/restaurant is somewhat akin to the look of a Colorado lodge with light fixtures made to look like a tangled mass of antlers and a fireplace.

Our visit was on a Friday evening. The bar was dimly lit but not dark. There were faux candles about the bar that gave it a romantic feeling. Most of the customers were couples ranging in age from about 25-55 years old. I would add for the ladies that you can probably enjoy drinks here without being "hit on" by a bunch of guys. I noticed some couples were drinking red wines.

One thing I really liked about Timber Creek Grill was the acoustics. The music was loud enough that you could clearly make out every song and yet it never interfered with conversation. Most of the songs would be recognizable for those aged 35 and up.

Our female bartender was very attentive and my soft drink container was huge. Beer or other drink prices were not posted anywhere that we saw. However, our bill didn't seem expensive considering the quality of the decor (Sorry, I didn't write down the prices).

The bar has a nice marble counter top plus large, softly-padded leather seats which were very comfortable. There were a few TV screens around the bar but this isn't a sports bar. It is more like a restaurant with a nice, large central bar. Our visit to Timber Creek Grill was on an exceptionally warm Friday night in March and the outdoor patio was full with a much younger crowd.

My only suggestion is that they upgrade their nondescript restrooms to quality of the rest of their nice facility. Otherwise, this is a very pleasant bar/restaurant for couples.
