Eating & Drinking On The Waters at Lake Waco

The Slippery Minnow Bar & Grill is located directly on Lake Waco at the Lake Waco Marina. The bar/restaurant is built on pilings over the water. Just follow the signs to the marina as you get close.
The Slippery Minnow is a simple affair but if you like to eat lakeside, it is an enjoyable place. The menu is simple and I had a hamburger basket with fries. Cola refills (self-service) were free. You order your meal at the bar and they call your name over a speaker when it is ready.
Some time has passed so I can't speak a lot about prices. I do remember them being slightly on the high side, but that is to be expected at a marina. So don't be put off if you like eating or drinking at water venues. I enjoyed the Slippery Minnow enough to visit it 3 times during my short visit to Waco. It was especially enjoyable on a warm evening with a breeze off the lake.
Their website indicates that they have bands playing from time to time. We missed out on hearing one, but enjoyed the country music broadcast over their speaker system.
