Worth a Visit for Beer Drinkers in Augusta

While this bird doesn't imbibe, I still like to visit outdoor bars and enjoy being among visitors to this tourist area. Augusta Brewery has both a small indoor but a very extensive outdoor area to handle the summer crowds visiting Augusta for the wineries, crafts, bed & breakfasts, and cycling along the Katy Trail.

Augusta Brewery is nothing flashy, but I enjoy it during summer and visit several times throughout the year. In the warmer months, you will run into cyclists who walk up the hill from the Katy Trail for refreshment or a meal.

As the name states, the beers on tap at Augusta Brewery come from their own brewery. Normally there are seasonal brews on tap and you can also order a variety of beers in a line of small sampler glasses. But the wine drinkers aren't left totally out in the cold as they do serve some of the local wines. They also serve meals, but I haven't had the chance to explore their menu.

Consider trying a "flight" of beers with their beer sampler. You can mix and choose from any of their draft beers which are served in 4 six-ounce glasses for $6. That is 24 ounces. Also, on our last visit, a draft pitcher was $14.
