We were at Navy Pier and saw the tall ship, Windy, which is operated by Tall Ship Adventures of Chicago. There was a nice breeze on the lake and so this sailing family opted to experience the cruise. They bill the cruise as approximately 60-75 minutes in duration. So you can imagine it is only about 30 minutes sailing time out and another 30 minutes back. But if you have never sailed on a 148' schooner, it is a very interesting experience. You are free to walk all over most of the deck and can stand at the helm. I'd probably do it again but I'd have to say that would be dependent on the wind. We happened to have a nice day with an easy 6-7 knot breeze.
