This "Geo Checkin" group is an experimental group. Let's give it a try!
A checkin is simply a way of letting your friends know where you are or where you have been.
All you need to do to create a checkin is to visit this group and:
- Create a comment in the share "What is new" box (just like any other stream comment). Keep it simple such as "at McDonald's" or "at the City Art Museum" etc.
- Then click on the "Map Pin" icon to set your location (it uses Google Maps)
It's quite easy!
Actually, you can do this in any Group on the site. But we've set this special group up so your friends and followers can join the group and get check-in messages.
