Touristy, but hey: I'm a tourist!

Newton Circus Food Centre (or Newton Food Centre) has been around for decades. It is essentially a large outdoor fast-food court where you can eat local meals until late at night.

In spite of the number of vendors here, there isn't a huge variety of foods as many vendors carry the same popular items. There are lots of hawkers trying to get you to visit their kiosk. But I tend to follow the rule that tends to work well: go to the kiosk where the locals line up. Good restaurants don't need hawkers as they attract business with their reputation.

That said, Newton Food Centre is a touristy place. But I'm a tourist so that doesn't stop me. Most locals will tell you that the food prices here are overpriced. Be sure you know what you will be paying when you place your order. The atmosphere is quite interesting -- especially in the evening. It is a great place to see locals (and many tourists) mix.
