The Climatron at the Missouri Botanical Garden has been around since the late 1950s. It was designed by the famed architect, Buckminster Fuller. The structure itself is famous and it houses an interesting collection of plants. It is considered one of the highlights of St Louis.

I like the newer decor of this Burger King on Highway Z just south of Wentzville off I-70. We had eaten here about 2 years ago and things look pretty much the same. We took advantage of one of their "2-for" specials and found the restaurant to be pretty clean during our evening visit.

Veterans Tribute Park is a nice newer park with decent facilities, especially for young kids. However, there is not a lot of shade except on the boundaries of the park which are wooded. I did enjoy the garden area but the area for the children is smaller than other parks in the county.

This lake was very popular when we visited it in late August. We could see many people fishing and other people just walking over the small bridge. The lake had quite a few lotus plants along the shore.
This is a 0.7 mile paved trail that would be of interest for a family with young kids. It has some ups and downs but nothing steep. I only experienced 2-3 mosquitoes during this short hike in late August. Parking is at the rear of the visitor center.
