Toy & Miniature Museum of Kansas City

The Toy & Miniature Museum is an out of the ordinary tourist attraction of Kansas CIty, but a great place to visit for all ages. As someone well out of their childhood, I was fascinated by toys of my own past, as well as generations' past. There's a lot of history and variety in everything displayed from dollhouses, games, marbles, dolls, model planes and more. I think some of the most awe-inspiring things were definitely the miniatures. From functioning teapots to ornate and heavily gilded rooms built to scale, the craft and great skill involved in creating these objects was evident. It was all very impressive.

The museum itself is quite large and house an extensive collection; you could easily spend the whole day there. I'd defintely recommend making this unique trip.
