Interesting Gallery Facility in an Old Foundry Building

The Foundry Art Centre is located on the north end of the St. Charles Riverfront. It is in an old building that, as the name indicates, used to be a foundry. During World War II, they made M3 tanks here. There is even an overhead crane still visible in the building. The building has a rather large gallery display area and they also offer space for special functions.
You won't find famous artists and their artwork here. Foundry Art Centre is more dedicated to programs for young artists or local artists who maintain studios on the 2nd floor. Yet it is a welcome addition to the area. Foundry Art Centre has plenty of parking available in their own private parking lot. There is also an elevator.
