Bee Tree Park is located along the Mississippi River in Oakville which is the southeast corner of St. Louis County. Oakville is about as far south along the Mississippi that you can go and still stay within the county. The park itself is mostly forested and hilly but there are some play areas for families with kids.

The two main features of Bee Tree Park are it's small lake and the Mississippi River overlook. The scenic overlook at Bee Tree Park is from the bluff of the Mississippi River. The outlook is a short 2-3 minutes walk on basically level ground from the parking lot where there is also a pavilion. The view looking over the river into Illinois is nice but not spectacular in any way. Also within the park is a stone mansion built by the original owner in 1929. The home overlooks the river but I didn't see that it was in any way open to the public.

We enjoyed our visit to Bee Tree Park and it makes a nice place for a family outing.
