Pretty Imperial Lake

Being a lover of water, the lake at the Summer Palace has always been one of my favorite sightseeing spots in Beijing. Formerly an Imperial lake, the Summer Palace grounds are huge and you'll see lots of tourists and local people visiting here on any nice day.
When I used to escort tours in China, our tour groups would always have lunch here at the Summer Palace. Afterwards, we then enjoyed a short traditional Chinese dramatic play or our tour group members would dress up in Chinese costume to pose for pictures. I don't know if those kind of activities exist anymore, but I still love to visit the lake at the Summer Palace grounds just to enjoy a stroll along the lake and to visit the Marble Barge.
