I came to Benton Park to see the area of the city named for it's park so I decided to stop in at it's namesake park which is surrounded by homes that appear to be built in the 1860s-1880s.

The park takes up what would be several city blocks of area when it was created. It is a pleasant park with a slightly rolling landscape that gives it interest. Most of the park is covered by grass but there is plenty of tree coverage. Towards the middle of the park is a decent sized kiddy playground.

This is a nice city park for locals to enjoy sitting out in the grass or just strolling around the sidewalks on the borders of the square layout.
