Washington's AmTrak station is located on the riverfront. The station is small and shares a separate space in the same building with the Washington Visitors Center which happened to be closed when we visited the station early on a Saturday evening.
There are only a few wood benches in the one-room station lobby and a rack of brochures of interest to tourists when the Visitor Center is closed. There is also a rail ticket window but it was closed as no train was expected near the time of our visit.
Everything was neat and and clean including the restrooms which are available if you happen to be at the riverfront and are looking for a public restroom.
