We have stopped at Beckley Travel Plaza several times over the years. They have decent restrooms, a fairly large shop selling tourist items/gifts, and a variety of chain restaurants in a mini food court. It is nice to have some choice in what to eat when traveling with a family.
Beckley Travel Plaza has a large parking area plus a fuel area for cars and trucks. It is one of the best rest stops I've come across and worth waiting for if you are planning to make a rest stop on the west side of West Virginia.
