Great lunch value!

Lunch at Nobu's is a great value and tastes very good! You can have some of the the most authentic sushi in St. Louis and other Japanese dishes for lunch ranging from $7.00 to $11. The restroom has also been nicely renovated now.

Authentic Japanese Cuisine & Reasonably Priced

Nobu's is one of the few Japanese restaurants in the St. Louis Metro area where the sushi chef is actually Japanese. The owner, Nobu, has been around the local Japanese restaurant scene for decades. He knows his craft well and creates excellent sushi. The quality of the fish used is among the best in St. Louis and the non-sushi Japanese dishes are reasonably priced.

My only negatives for Nobu's are two: the physical size of the negiri sushi is somewhat small compared to Japanese standards and the restaurant is in much need of a renovation (especially the restrooms). This second negative doesn't prevent our family from visiting but it does keep us from bringing our out-of-town guests. [Update: the restrooms have now been renovated.]

All the same, if you want authentic Japanese tastes at reasonable prices, Nobu's is still a very good choice and one of this bird's favorite Japanese restaurants in St. Louis County.
