I really enjoyed having Sunday brunch at Piquante. Sunday brunch is a staple of nyc living and you can typically expect a wait at good brunch spots each week. Very surprisingly, we did not have to wait for our brunch during this visit. They have a pretty large dining area so that may have contributed to it or maybe they are newer? Regardless, I thought their food was excellent. They have a bit of a Southwestern flair to their menu and lots of interesting takes on Eggs Benedict. I was astounded by their brunch cocktail special-- for $8 you get unlimited (yes, unlimited!) cocktails (mimosas, sangria and bloody marys) for two hours. This is defintely somewhere that I look forward to returning to another Sunday.
