Asabi Bistro Has It All!
Rating
4.5
Aasabi Bistro is a very welcome addition to the area! This restaurant offers sushi (the specialty rolls are really excellent) in addition to lots of dishes from all over Asia- notably Thai, Chinese, Korean, and Cambodian. I had never tried Cambodian food before, nor had I ever seen it offered on a menu. I got to try several of the dishes, and everything was delicious. The portions were pretty large, so be prepared to eat a lot or take some home. The interior of Wasabi Bistro is overall, very well done, although the space itself is a little cramped. They were extremely busy when we were there, so you might have to be patient. There seems to be a lot of demand for authentic Asian food in this area. I am looking forward to going back soon. I definitely recommend it. With such a selection, there is something for everyone at Wasabi Bistro.
Aasabi Bistro - Sushi Plus a Taste of Asia

Asabi Bistro Sushi Bar & Grill is located in the strip mall right next to Subway at the north side of Lake St. Louis Blvd near I-70. The restaurant has a sushi counter that seats about 10 people plus booths and tables. While the restaurant name reflects its emphasis on Japanese sushi dishes, Wasabi Bistro Sushi Bar & Grill has a pan-Asian menu including dishes from Thailand, Cambodia, and China.
We liked our dinner which included a mixture of sushi rolls, Shrimp Pad Thai (noodle dish), and a Cambodian beef dish. We enjoyed the taste of everything. Our server was nice and the restaurant is cheerful.
We also tried several varieties of nigiri sushi which I thought were slightly smaller than typical nigiri sushi in Japan, but similar to other sushi restaurants in the area. For those interested, Asabi Bistro Sushi Bar & Grill is wheelchair accessible. Just look for the wheelchair "cut-out" towards the opposite end of the strip mall. The restroom is also handicap accessible.
There were some slight rough edges that one might expect in a brand new restaurant, but nothing really worth mentioning. We'll definitely return to Wasabi Bistro Sushi Bar & Grill to try some of their other dishes which can be hard to find in this area.
