A Must Visit- But Way Overpriced

Katz's Delicatessen needs little introduction, it's definitely a landmark of the Lower East Side. I do recommend visiting Katz's Deli for the experience, unfortunately, it's not quite affordable for multiple returns. Katz's Deli is famous for their pastrami on rye-- the'll even slice you sample as you wait for your sandwich to be prepared, but beware, it's a $16 sandwich-- and it doesn't come with sides. Although, their portions are quite large. If you've got company, I recommend finding common ground and sharing a sandwich and a their delicious steak fries. I've seen many a grown man having great difficulty finishing a sandwich on their own.

As for the restaurant, there is plenty of seating and the walls are covered with photographs documenting many years of celebrity patrons and Katz's memorabilia. They even have a sign marking the table from that scene from "When Harry Met Sally."

So all in all: make the trip, but don't forget your wallet!
