The fish was fine but the sides were so-so

First, I'd like to say that our server was great. He even gave us some free gumbo to tryout which tasted good. We enjoyed the seafood. But the sides were just so-so. My corn didn't have much taste. To me, it just tasted like canned corn. One nice thing nice is that the restaurant offers some Mediterranean dishes which we would like to try out.
