Nice lakefront hike

I've done this hike three times. Here is my review also submitted to Alltrails:
"We walked this around-the-lake trail on the first Wednesday in September and no other hikers were in sight. We did, however, see quite a few kayakers and people fishing.
The trail has obviously not been maintained as in the past (this is my third time). We had to climb over 5 or 6 downed trees.
The underbrush stretched over into the path so I was somewhat worried about ticks. However, those areas were mostly in bright sunlight where the ticks tend not to be. In the more shaded areas the path was less overgrown.
I'd also mention that we didn't encounter any mosquitoes or gnats on the trail. We did see lots of harmless bees pollinating flowers. You could view them from just a foot away without disturbing them.
I would agree with other reviewers that the trail should be considered easy rather than moderate."
Hopefully, the park maintenance crew will clean up the downed trees soon.
