This is a 3.5 mile out-and-back trail so the round trip distance is 7.0 miles. It is made of crushed rock and totally flat.
The trail starts at the Winfield Lock and Dam number 25 and heads up stream right along the Mississippi River. There is no shade so take that into account. But you do get fantastic views of a rural section of the Mississippi River.
