Per their website: "This is an Official Missouri Welcome Center where you will find tourism brochures, maps and highway information. The staff is very knowledgeable about the area and the state. They will answer tourism-related questions; give you driving directions to attractions and areas you wish to visit; and offer suggestions on what to see and do throughout Missouri. The center offers a nice place for a break from driving."
Located on Dunn Road very close to the Moto-Mart at Dunn Road & Riverview Drive on the north side of I-270.

You might easily miss this visitor center. There is only one small room with a help desk but the center does have free Missouri brochures, roadmaps, and visitor magazines for the major tourism areas of the state. This visitor center doesn't appear to get many visitors so the staff seemed happy to see us. As far as I know, it is the only Missouri Welcome Center in the St. Louis metro area. It is unfortunate that it is somewhat tucked away from view.
This is not an impressive Welcome Center compared to others that I've seen. As mentioned, it is very small but you can get the information you might want for visiting the state. There is a parking lot which can accommodate semi trucks. However, the gates are locked from 5 PM to 8 AM daily. There are decent public restrooms here plus a drink vending machine.
Also, note that you are just a few miles south of the confluence of the Mississippi River and the Missouri River at the 4,300 acre Columbia Bottom Conservation Area. There is also a Moto-Mart convenience store close by with 2 fast-food restaurants at the intersection of Dunn Road & Riverview Drive if you are looking for food or fuel.
