Bias Winery was recommended to us by a local. We were told it was near Hermann, so we thought on the outskirts of town, but it is a lot further than that. It is located in Berger, but the drive there is very pastoral and beautiful. You have to cross railroad tracks without stopping arms, so make sure that you are really cautious. Bias Winery consists of the vineyards, a large building, and outdoor seating and stage area. Inside the building is the wine/beer tasting counter, seating area (pizza and cheese/sausage platters are available), restrooms, and some items for sale.

The man who did our free tasting (you get four samples) was very nice and knowledgeable. We liked their Riesling a lot, because it was so different that any other we'd tasted before. It is not very sweet and has a yeasty kick to it. Outdoor seating is nice- picnic tables and some patio furniture. The women's restroom was really odd: one room, two toilets. Thankfully, there is a lock on the door, so you can have both commodes to yourself. The staff were all very nice, but the whole place could use with some upgrades.

For the money (~$13 for our bottle of wine), I would rather go elsewhere. I had a nice time at Bias Winery, but you could spend the same amount at another winery and have better views and facilities.
