The premier winery of the area
Rating
4.0
I've been to Mount Pleasant Estates many times over the years dating back to the 1980s. It is really grown into the premiere winery of the area.
The wines are pricey compared to the same bottles bought in the St Louis area. You may pay 2-3 times the price over what you might pay at a local store. However, you're paying to enjoy the winery experience here overlooking the valley where the Missouri River runs beyond the trees.
Normally you can expect a very big crowd on the weekend. On our last visit, we dropped by late on a weekday and after another couple left we had the entire winery to ourselves for the last hour. Nice and quite unexpected.
