Whenever I make the drive on Illinois Highway 100 between Alton and Grafton, it is hard not to stop by for a short loop drive through the small town of Elsah. "Quaint" is the term that comes to mind. There is just something about this small Mississippi River town with its bed and breakfasts that pulls me off the highway for a short drive through. Lovely place.
