This McDonald's is somewhat hidden away on busy Olive Boulevard. It has nice outdoor seating but limited parking. All in all, everything was fine but the lobby area could have used a little tidying up in mid-afternoon.
This is a nice park located along Waco's main river, the Brazos River. Nice place for a picnic or just taking a break in the day.
All by itself, the bridge isn't a big draw except for its historical significance. But combine the bridge with Indian Spring Park and the riverwalk that runs beneath it, then you've got something worth visiting. Visit for the park and the riverwalk and enjoy the bridge!
Founders Park is the home of little league baseball at Lake St Louis. This is where the baseball action happens each summer. Their also is a small basketball area plus playgrounds for younger kids.
I've been wanting to visit Ballpark Village since it opened. I stopped in after a Cardinals baseball game this summer but since I had a drink cooler I couldn't enter. Yesterday evening, we visited around 10 PM while the Cardinals had an away game. The area was not too crowded. There was a band doing...
Magnolia Market, as it is locally referred to, is just as popular as one might imagine. It is well worth the visit if you are fans of Chip & Joanna Gaines and their TV show, Fixer Upper. You can see it as you drive by on I-35 and is easily accessible from the highway.
Whenever I make the drive on Illinois Highway 100 between Alton and Grafton, it is hard not to stop by for a short loop drive through the small town of Elsah. "Quaint" is the term that comes to mind. There is just something about this small Mississippi River town with its bed and breakfasts that pulls me off the highway...
This is fantastic park with amazing facilities. It makes you wish you were younger. I guess I'll have to go out and buy a skateboard. Or perhaps I can try out the rock climbing.
I stopped in at this Subway outlet for the first time. It looked typical and the food preparation was fast and up to par. However, the girl working the cash register didn't return my credit card after running it (although she did give me the receipt) so I'm deducting 1/2 star. This could have been a disaster for me....
I've visited this Subway several times now and found it always to be clean and the workers have been as quick as one can expect at a Subway. Parking is fairly easy at this mall parking lot.
I've visited another Qdoba outlet some years ago. This was my first visit to this location in the mall at Bass Pro Shop. The restaurant was clean and the employees were all polite. We enjoyed the spices and the quality of the food. We would definitely come back if we were in the area.
We had lunch at Audubon's. The facility is nice and modern. The service was OK but we found the food only so-so.
