This is a 0.7 mile paved trail that would be of interest for a family with young kids. It has some ups and downs but nothing steep. I only experienced 2-3 mosquitoes during this short hike in late August. Parking is at the rear of the visitor center.
I'm a Chuck Berry fan and have seen him very close up while performing at Blueberry Hill in St. Louis, Missouri. I've also almost walked right into him in a restaurant he used to own in Wentzville, Missouri. He just smiled and waved at me. So I've always wanted to visit Berry Park which appeared in the movie, Hail!...
Orzo is a fast food restaurant where you can order bowls, salads, and gyros with a Mediterranean flavor. Food is served in plastic containers which you can eat at the booths and tables or take out. There are set menus or you can build your own meal. The taste is good and the amount of food is plentiful. We will...
O'Day Park in rural O'Fallon, located off Highway DD, is a newer park aimed at younger kids and families. If you look at the pictures, there are so many fun things for kids to do. Browse through all the pictures to get a better idea of all the fun available. There are normal flush toilets with sinks. Also, there is...
This venue is what it looks like: tables on a concrete pad covered by a metal rooftop. There's not a lot here but if you enjoy sitting next to the river it's an interesting place to visit. We've visited this location several times over the years and it just keeps expanding. Prices are also...
Although I didn't visit here with an RV, I did visit to check it out for future reference. All I can say is that this is an urban RV Center with few facilities.
We visited The Corner Pub and Grill on a Saturday evening about an hour before closing. We were impressed with the restaurant as a whole and with the service from our waitress, Megan. We did find the chicken nuggets somewhat pricey at about a buck each. But we'll be back to check out other...
I haven't been to Bristol for several years. Everything seemed to be in a time lapse where nothing has changed, which is good. The food was excellent and our server, Jeff, was tops! I've never had a bad experience at this restaurant.
It's not a very interesting cemetery but it is historical for this area as much historically surrounds the Howell family. Sadly, there is a monument to a soldier who died just a week after the signing of the armistice in November, 1918.
Sorry, I don't see how this restaurant gets anywhere near a 4.0 rating. It is rundown and the food is just so-so. I believe that I am being kind giving it a 3.0 rating.
I was walking around the Redondo Beach Pier with a family member who used to live in this area. She liked this restaurant as it has great 'finger-licking' fish dishes that are served at your table in a plastic bag. You share the contents which include various types of fish and veggies such as potato chunks. Fun! ...
For me, I always tend to drive through the small village of Elsah when passing along Illinois highway 100 in this area. Quaint describes it perfectly. It has several bed and breakfasts and many homes built with stone. There is a small loop drive between the start of the village near the Mississippi River...
